CHP Officers Pull Driver From Burning Car
The driver was semi-conscious and could not have gotten out of the car without help.

OAKLAND, CA — CHP officers turned into lifesavers Tuesday morning when they pulled a semi-conscious man from behind the wheel of a car that had caught fire following a crash.
It happened just after 7:30 a.m. on I-580 in Oakland, near Park Boulevard.
Officers arrived after receiving a call about the wreck. They found the driver, a man whose name has not been released, trapped in his Honda Accord which was catching fire. They got the man out before the car became fully engulfed in flames.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
An investigation continues, but the CHP reports that the driver may have suffered a medical emergency.
