Earthquake Rattles East Bay
The early morning quake woke residents at 4:42 a.m. Did YOU feel it?

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA —A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck Piedmont Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The temblor was reported at 4:42 a.m. It was followed by two small aftershocks. The quake woke thousands of residents who reported feeling the earthquake.
The quake, which was initially believed to be a magnitude 3.7, was felt in Oakland, Berkeley, Castro Valley and as far away as Dublin, Livermore and San Francisco.
No injuries were reported as a result of today's quake. BART reported 10-minute delays systemwide as maintenance workers inspected tracks following the quake.
