East Bay Municipal Utility District to host Meetings to Discuss Ongoing Drought Response, Rates

Meetings will be held in October and November in Walnut Creek, Richmond, Oakland and Castro Valley

East Bay Municipal Utility District will host four special community meetings in October and November to discuss the ongoing drought response and the need for mandatory rationing and drought rates in 2015 if the drought persists or worsens.

The meetings will feature presentations on the current EBMUD water supply and budget, a proposed drought rate system, as well as information on water conservation to help customers use water wisely. Spanish- and Chinese-language interpreters will be available at all meetings.
