Uganda has been plagued with disease and poverty for years. Children and adults suffer from AIDS and other poverty-based diseases, and now, you can help by attending the 2010 Green & Yellow Festival Gala.
With a former Peace Corps Volunteer who worked in the region as a speaker, diners will be able to hear firsthand how the money raised from last year's event was able to help those in need. The 2010 Green & Yellow Festival raises funds for The Friends of Ruwenzori, a local charity.
This event is on Saturday, Nov 6 from 6-10PM at Piedmont Veteran's Hall. Diners 18-years and over can enjoy fun New Orleans style music, wonderful family-style dining, as well as a live and silent auction.
