Bronco Competitive Team Information

Because of expressed interest by parents and players, Piedmont Baseball Foundation's Bronco division is considering placing one team in a higher flight league (680 Diablo League), with the balance of the teams remaining in our traditional Morindamont league (Moraga/Orinda/Piedmont). We will base our decision on:

  • Player and family commitment to spring baseball
  • Tryout results (this November 17)
  • Overall Bronco evaluation results (scheduled December 3)
  • PBF Community Meeting feedback Morindamont team viability

Player commitment is a key component, since rosters are set and guest players are not allowed. Players must be committed to attending all baseball games, (which typically include games in Brentwood, Martinez, Clayton, San Ramon and other 680 corridor locations), practices, and other events. Notes:

  • The 680 Diablo league is typically more competitive and games are played in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. See http://680diabloleague.clubspaces.com/Venues.aspx?o=277520 for a list of fields we would travel to.
  • This tryout is mandatory for consideration on the 680 squad.
  • All players still need plan to participate in the December 3rd Bronco evaluations
