Community Open House Celebrating Piedmont Center for the Arts First Anniversary

Join the Celebration — Three Days of Events

Friday, August 24, Special Classical Music Concert with World-renowned musicians from Japan – Martin Stanzeleit, cellist and Ryoko Nomura, pianist join Debbie Dare, violinist in performing works of Mozart, Schubert, Barber, and Elgar.  7:30 p.m.  Tickets $20 available at the door. 

Saturday, August 25 — 8:00 pm — Jazz Sounds of Shades of Gray Band.  Come dance or tap your toes seated in the Center’s jazz lounge.  Snacks Served.  Cash Bar.  Tickets $15 at door.

Sunday, August 26 — 12 noon – 3:00 pm — FREE Community Open House, Art Show and Musical Concert.  Come check out the Center, see the art show of the teachers and staff of the Piedmont Unified School District.  Starting at  2:00 pm enjoy the experience of a Musical Petting Zoo –Your chance to hear, see, touch, and try out stringed instruments and find the right size for you. Professional musicians/teachers - Debbie Dare, Betty Wu, and Natalie Cox will talk about and perform for you on violins, violas, celli, string basses, and harps. Come try them out and see how much fun it is.  All FREE.
