Then come join us to support the Oakland Art Murmur at its inaugural benefit, a dinner gala and auction at Mua restaurant on May 6th: FLOURISH: Celebrating Art in Oakland.
This special evening will be quite a fabulous bash! Great wine and cocktails all night long, wonderful food, live art-making, complimentary photo booth, great local jazz/blues/fusion band, and of course, the opportunity to purchase artworks as they are being made by an assembly of artists in action that night, as well as fine pieces donated for auction by prominent local artists. Live auction featuring the work of internationally known Oakland-based artists Hung Liu and Squeak Carnwath.
Why buy that benefit ticket? Well, the Art Murmur galleries and their events generate positive publicity for Oakland and are commonly cited as one of the East Bay's most exciting and vibrant attractions, improving neighborhoods by filling vacant storefronts and increasing foot-traffic. The concentration of galleries has attracted new business including first-class restaurants, bars, and soon a new cinema to the Uptown district.
