GATE stands for Gifted and Talented Education, and the Piedmont Unified School District supports and encourages GATE curriculum and standards.
Districts can apply for GATE one-, two- or three-year grants, using these monies to create interesting and especially engaging education opportunities for high-achieving and underachieving public school pupils identified as gifted and talented.

The GATE Advisory Council is for parents, teachers, and administrators to discuss how to best achieve programs for gifted and talented students and then make recommendations to the School Board for curricular/program changes.
Anyone interested in the GATE Advisory Council is welcome to attend.
