General Plan Update – Housing Element

Piedmont is in the process of updating its General Plan, a State-mandated document containing the city’s official long-range policies for land use and development. Its policies affect a wide range of topics, including transportation, housing, natural resources, parks, public services, community design, and infrastructure. This is the first update in ten years.

A Public Review Draft of the Housing Element of the General Plan was made public in July 2010.

Working drafts of the Plan’s chapters were released in October and November 2008. A Public Review Draft of the full Plan was officially released on December 12, 2008.
