Magic and Religion in Ancient Corinth Lecture at Dwinelle Hall, UC Berkeley

This lecture presents special magical equipment used in secret activities, as well as curse texts incised on lead tablets that were deposited in a “cell” where black magic was practiced at night high up on the slopes of Acrocorinth in the Sanctuary of Demeter and Persephone, and excavated by the American School of Classical Studies.

Room 370 in Dwinelle Hall.
