
The City of Piedmont will mark Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday January 16 with a shared meal, music and film about Dr. King. The event, scheduled from 12 to 3pm, will be held at the Piedmont Community Center. A potluck lunch will be served; all guest are encouraged to bring a dish reflecting their heritage. Music will be provided by Oaktown Jazz and presentations made by Piedmont students. A new film about Dr. King, At the River I Stand, will be shown at approximately 1:30pm. The event is sponsored by the City of Piedmont and the Piedmont Appreciating Diversity Committee.
