PHS AP Art Show

This show is comprised of all thirteen AP Studio Art students displaying their AP Concentration. As part of their AP portfolio, students design an artistic concept to explore through the course of their senior year in the media of their choice.  The extended artistic study of a theme allow the student to experience what a practicing artist does as they work to both follow their artistic interests and create a cohesive body of twelve artworks.

Students this year have created extremely individual and creative Concentration ideas including; formal compositional studies, zombie attacks, traditional and urban landscapes, value studies of fruit, designing a video game, recording an experience through objects, paying homage to bands, the decay of buildings, figural studies, and building awareness of issues facing Tibet.

Range of media varies from traditional painting on canvas, architectural renderings, digital drawing, manipulated digital photography, experimental mixed media with painting, and painting on ukuleles.
