"The Varsity Men's Basketball Team was victorious in their first game of the Cardinal Classic, played at Lowell High School on Thursday, December 8, 2011. The Highlanders beat a tenacious Stuart Hall HS of San Francisco, 62-52. The tournament continues tomorrow at Lowell High School, 1101 Eucalyptus, San Francisco, with Piedmont playing at 6:30 vs either Balboa or Half Moon Bay. The 8:00 pm game is between Lick-Wilmerding and Lowell. All Piedmont fans are urged to come out and support the Highlanders."
