The Piedmont Garden Club is offering an ikebana floral demonstration for interested community members. The class is being given by Soho Sakai, from the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in Japan, and a member of the renowned American Institute of Floral Designers.
This demonstration-only class will observe Soho making 12 different Ikebana arrangements which focus on beauty and harmony, using common and unusual flowers and containers. Five of the arrangements will be raffled at the end of class.
The cost is $20 per person and reservations may be made with Patty Reed @ Rclark2589@aol.com. Refreshments will be provided at 9 a.m. Guests are also welcome to bring cameras.
