Saint Mary's College High School, Berkeley, will hold its 27th annual Golf Invitational fundraiser for tuition assistance on Monday, September 19, 2011 (new date!) at the Richmond Country Club, 1 Markovich Lane, Richmond. Again this year, the event honors the memory of 1963 alum Capt. Phil Doran (Berkeley P.D.) who was also an alumni parent and twenty-five year school golf coach before his death from cancer in 2010.
Proceeds support Saint Mary’s tuition assistance program. This year, Saint Mary’s will provide $1.98 million in need-based tuition assistance to 40% of its student body. The goal for last year’s tournament was to raise $25,000. Thanks to the generous support of friends, local businesses, alumni, and more, over $30,000 was generated to support Tuition Assistance. This year’s goal is to raise $40,000 toward the cause.
$200 per person; sponsorships available.
