
In their ongoing efforts to promote the preservation of the old growth redwoods in Humboldt State Park, Piedmont Garden Club’s Conservation Committee is hosting a program featuring Emily Limm, PhD., science director for the non-profit Save the Redwoods League. Dedicated to preserving these groves, home to the world’s tallest tree species, she will speak about their citizen project for recording, organizing, and mapping observations of redwoods across different climates. This event is open tothe public, free of charge and will take place Thursday, Sept. 22nd, at 9am, at the Piedmont Community Center, 711 Highland Avenue. No reservations necessary.
