In remembrance of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a silent vigil starting approximately at 5:45 a.m., the same time that the planes hit the World Trade Center.
The silent vigil will take place at Remember Them: Champions for Humanity, a new monument that honors 25 humanitarians who fought for justice and equality. The monument was unveiled on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
