For the first time since February, home sales were in the single digits as the volume in the Piedmont market began it's typical fall decline. Sellers of properties in the lower price ranges had the upper hand, while buyers had the advantage at the high end in September.
The four homes originally priced under a million sold for more than four percent over asking on average, while those priced above a million went for nearly 10 percent less on average.
All six of the properties listed under the $1.3 million mark that found buyers last month spent less than three weeks on the market, roughly matching the pace of sales in the previous two months. The three priced above that threshold took months to sell.
