Free Broadway Shuttle Closing Stop for 2 Years
Construction will force the suspension of service to that stop until late 2018.

OAKLAND, CA — A free shuttle that runs through downtown Oakland will not be stopping at 27th Street until late 2018, according to city officials.
The stop on the Broadway Shuttle service has been taken out of service to accommodate construction on a nearby housing project, city officials said.
The final northbound stop on the shuttle will be at 25th Street and Broadway until late 2018, when the construction is expected to be finished.

The shuttle service, also known as the "Free B," was launched by the city in 2010 as a way to attract employers into the city's downtown area and help commuters heading into and out of work, according to city officials.
