Weekly game results for Piedmont Baseball Foundation teams are listed below. Game information from coaches and team representatives should be submitted by Sunday at 8 p.m. at www.piedmontbaseball.org using the “Game Publicity” menu item. Results below are from games played last week.
MUSTANG
Bears 8, River Bandits 4
The Bears and Bandits finished the regular season in a well-played game with the Bears coming out on top. Mathew Clavin, Eli Kleinman, and Elliot Meeks took care of the pitching, while Luke Barrett, Billy McNeill, Brady Dunne, and Jackson de Melo provided timely hitting for the Bears. The Bandits turned in some great defensive plays and got solid pitching from Ben Halperin, Alex Hilton, and Salem Cavenaugh.
BRONCO
Piedmont Red Raiders 12, Moraga Dodgers 11
The Red Raiders edged the Moraga Dodgers 12-11. With the bases loaded and the Red Raiders trailing by two in the bottom of the 6th, Ben Wuebbens scored the tying run and Brendan Walsh scored the game winner. Ben Barrett pitched 3-1/3 strong innings of relief, getting the Red Raiders out of a bases-loaded jam in the 2nd, and struck out 5 while walking none the rest of the way. Brendan Walsh pitched the 6th and was credited with the victory. The Red Raiders produced 12 hits, with, Ben Barrett, Harrison Kohr, Ben Wuebbens and Brendan Walsh collecting two hits apiece.
