SOFTBALL U10

Piedmont MudHens 5, Oakland Black Magic 7

The MudHens took a heart-breaking loss Saturday morning, losing to a very strong-pitching Oakland Black Magic. The MudHens hosted the Black Magic for the semi-finals of the U10 playoffs. The MudHens were once again led by great pitching from veterans Caroline Straugh and Kyra Gardner. Hitting was led by the team's silver slugger Anna Greenstein, who hit a 3-run home run to bring the MudHens back into the game in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Solid base running and tough skin (meaning hit by pitches) was led by Kylie-Ann Heller, followed by Cameron Park, Sydney Ferris and Carloine Strauch. The coaches want to thank all of the girls and heir parents for a great season and hope you all keep practicing! Go MudHens!
