The amazing fundraiser organized by a Piedmont resident is this Friday, but you'll also want to check out a traditional festival happening at Mountain View Cemetery, and get your car washed to support PHS Lacrosse.

Where/When: The Fox Theater, 1807 Telegraph Ave., Oakland. Friday, 8 p.m.
Why Go: This second annual fundraiser for Children's Hospital in Oakland draws some of the the Bay's more prominent talent in music and writing. This year features writer, organizer and , author Michael Lewis, essayist and performer Beth Lisick, as well as musicians, Megan Slankard, The Family Crest and HYIM.
Pricing: $50-$10,000 (Yes, you read that right. Remember, it's a fundraiser!) -
Where/When: Pizzaiolo, 5008 Telegraph Ave., Oakland. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Bake something or just come and enjoy homemade baked goodies at this amazing nationwide effort born right next door in Berkeley. The closest location to Piedmont is Pizzaiolo; there will also be a bake sale at Gioia Pizzeria in Berkeley. Pick a location and get your fill of sweets while raising money for the victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.
Pricing: All the sweet goods you can purchase and eat. Otherwise, free.

Where/When: , 5000 Piedmont Ave., Oakland. Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Qingming is a Chinese festival of remembering your ancestors and is a major holiday on the Chinese calendar. Families come to the gravesite to tidy up the graves and bring food offerings. Mountain View Cemetery will have refreshments available for the families.

Where/When: , 340 Highland Ave., Piedmont. Sunday, 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Yep, we know it's been raining, but the sun is out now and it's time for a car wash. Support Men's Lacrosse and get it done this weekend at the Valero gas station on Highland Avenue.
