Man Shot, Killed This Morning in Oakland
Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call the Oakland police homicide section at (510) 238-3821.

A man was shot and killed near Sausal Creek in Oakland early this morning, according to police. Officers responded to gunshots in the 2300 block of 27th Avenue at 1:54 a.m., police said.
They found the victim, identified as 57-year-old Fredrick Edmonds, suffering from a gunshot wound. Edmonds was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
Police have made no arrests. Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call the Oakland police homicide section at (510) 238-3821 or the department’s tip line at (510) 238-7950.
