Man Shot, Killed On San Pablo Ave. ID'd

The 35-year-old victim was shot Friday, along with another male, 44, who was hospitalized for his injuries, police said.

OAKLAND, CA – A man who was fatally shot in West Oakland on Friday afternoon was identified by police today as 35-year-old Edward Williams of Oakland.

Williams and a 44-year-old man were shot near the corner of 32nd Street and San Pablo Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene and the 44-year-old man was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. The man remains hospitalized.

No one has been arrested, and Oakland police haven't released any information about a suspect or a motive.
