Mani/Pedi Prices Vary by Neighborhood

A combination manicure/pedicure ranges from $23 at small nail shops on Grand Avenue to as much as $75 at spacious full-service salons and day spas of Montclair Village.

MONTCLAIR VILLAGE SALONS:

• At at 2063 Mountain Blvd, a manicure costs $30 and a pedicure is $45. The shop doesn’t give a discount for a combination mani/pedi, but it does offer “mini” manicures and pedicures–which do not include massage or an exfoliating scrub–for $25 and $35 respectively, said shop owner Hope Simpson.
• at 6188 Antioch St offers a combination manicure/pedicure for $48 while a pedicure alone is $32 and a manicure is $18. Miller, who has been in business in Montclair for 19 years, claims that the more expensive nail services are more generous with massage and do not rush clients.
• at 6208 La Salle Ave offers a manicure for $17 and a pedicure for $30 and there’s no discount for the combination, said Michelle Schneider, an esthetician at the shop. Owned by Sarah Gilmartin, the 14-year-old shop is spacious, well established and includes a private room for nail work.
• Less expensive mani and pedi combos can be found for $35 to $40 at at 1962 Mountain Blvd, the at 6470 Moraga Avenue, and the at 2064 Antioch Ct.

PIEDMONT AND LAKESHORE AVENUE SALONS:

• , at 3826 Piedmont Ave, offers a combination mani/pedi for $30, while it’s $12 for a manicure or $22 for a pedicure alone.
• A mani/pedi combo costs $42 for at , 4319 Piedmont Ave.
• Manicures and pedicures cost about the same at the at 3319 Lakeshore Ave. There, a combination mani/pedi is $30 while a manicure costs $14 and a pedicure is $20.

GRAND AVENUE SALONS:

• Grand Avenue offers a plethora of nail shops, many of which charge about $24 for a combination mani/pedi. These shops include at 3667 Grand Ave and at 3344 Grand Ave.
• The cheapest in that area may be offered by at 3736 Grand Ave which charges $23 for mani/pedi, or $10 for just a manicure and $18 for a pedicure.
• , located at 456 Santa Clara Ave, off Grand near Interstate 580, is more expensive, offering a combination mani/pedi for $40, while a manicure is $15 and a pedicure is $25.
