Oakland Firefighters Extinguish Porch Fire Behind Victorian Home
The fire was reported in the 900 block of Wood Street.
Firefighters extinguished a one-alarm fire this morning in the rear of a two-story Victorian home in Oakland, according to the Oakland Fire Department. A fire dispatcher said firefighters got the first call of the fire in the 900 block of Wood Street near Interstate Highway 880 at 1:38 a.m.
The fire was burning on the porch behind the home when firefighters arrived and extinguished it.
