Oakland House Fire Displaces 5 People
First reports indicated that victims could be trapped inside.

OAKLAND, CA — A one-alarm fire at a house in Oakland has been extinguished, fire officials said.
Initial tweets from the Oakland Fire Department shortly after 11:20 a.m. indicated people might be trapped in a two-story house at 1431 Myrtle St.
A fire dispatcher said those initial reports proved not to be true and the blaze was extinguished by 12:14 p.m. with no injuries reported.

Five people have been displaced from the home, the dispatcher said.
