
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Union Pacific Railroad tracks in Oakland on Tuesday evening, police said.
The collision was reported at 5:27 p.m. on the tracks near 37th Avenue and East Ninth Street.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and is not yet being identified by the Alameda County coroner’s bureau.
