Piedmont Center for the Arts Announces Artist for 2014 Juried Art Show

2014 Juried Art Show Artists Revealed

and Exhibition Schedule

at Piedmont Center for the Arts

Come see the Piedmont Center of the Arts 2014 Juried Art Show Exhibition, which will be on display November 1-November 30. The community is invited to the Opening Reception to be held on Saturday, November 1, 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Come meet the artists, be the first to see this unique exhibit. The Piedmont Center for the Arts is located at 801 Magnolia Avenue, Piedmont.

2014 guest jurors Carin Adams, Oakland Museum of California, Associate Curator of Art & Material Culture and Caitlin Haskell, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Assistant Curator of Painting and Sculpture selected 39 art works from 23 artists. A total of the 248 artists entered the competition and many of the artists entered numerous works (that totaled from than 800 submitted pieces). Art works include an array of paintings, mixed media, collage, drawings, photographs, prints, watercolors, gouache and assembled objects. Cash prizes to top three artists through the generosity of the John P. Thornborrow Memorial Trust will be awarded on opening night.

The exhibit will then be on view Saturdays and Sundays, November 2-November 30th from 12 noon – 3 pm.
