Piedmont Dancers Shine in Weekend Performances

Piedmont High School dance instructor's "12 Princesses" danced through a range of styles–including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, and doowop–in four performances at the Alan Harvey Theater last weekend.

Moorehead's choreographry showcased the breadth of the talented veteran troupe before the freshman PE dance classes came on to perform lively numbers to the music of West Side Story, Mamma Mia and Fame.

After a brief intermission, the rest of the evening was turned over to the students who delighted the audience with their original choreography that showed off their inventiveness, acrobatics, athleticism and grace.
