Piedmont Represented at Teachers' Rally, Gets Airtime

Dozens of teachers, administrators, staff, students and parents from Piedmont joined in San Francisco Friday, according to PUSD teachers' union president Harlan Mohagen.

Despite the fact that PUSD has been largely insulated from the billions in state funding cuts that have crippled other public school districts around California over the last three years, Mohagen wanted to show the rest of the state that Piedmont is nonetheless willing to be part of the fight against further reductions.

With a substantial turnout and a cameo in CBS San Francisco's coverage of the rally, Mohagen said Piedmont had proved that.
