Peter Harvey of Piedmont was the city's top finisher in Sunday's 2012 Bay to Breakers, according to race results posted online. He ranked at No. 334 overall with a time of 50:59 minutes. He competed in the men's 50-59 years division, where he ranked 15th.
Winners of the 12k race were Mamitu Daska of Ethiopia (women) at 39:03 minutes and Sammy Kitwara of Kenya (men) at 34:32.

Piedmont High School's boys lacrosse team defeated Campolindo High Friday in the NCS Division II quarterfinals, 14-7.
