Piedmont Turkey Trot Registration Now Open!
Fitness and feast – you can have it all on Thanksgiving.
Unleash a preemptive strike on those Thanksgiving Day calories and run/walk/stroll the 3-mile Piedmont Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.
It’s an event the whole family will enjoy.
The fun begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 27 on Highland Avenue near the Exedra.

Over the past 13 years the Turkey Trot has grown to be a treasured event for many families, friends and neighbors. Run to win, or walk to enjoy the brisk morning air and good cheer. The race is stroller friendly and all leashed dogs are invited to join their families. This is a race that has something for everyone.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: Under 13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

The overall top male and female runners will receive a gift certificate for a turkey from Village Market. First place winners in all age divisions will receive a delicious pumpkin pie donated by Piedmont Grocery and a gift certificate from Transports, a local running store on College Avenue. J Miller Flowers will design a special fall bouquet for all award winners.
And all those finishing the 3-mile course will have bragging rights at their Thanksgiving table that evening. Net proceeds from this event will benefit the PHS Cross Country program, the PHS Track and Field program and the City of Piedmont’s Athletic Facilities Preservation Fund.
Online registration is now open at www.piedmontturkeytrot.com. Register for the lowest price by November 25. Commemorative long sleeve (adult) and short sleeve (youth) dry wick t-shirts will be provided to the first 2400 pre-registered participants.
Highland Partners will provide coffee and hot cocoa to keep everyone warm before and after the race. Additional major sponsors include Piedmont Grocery, Mulberry’s Market, Transports, McCutcheon Construction, MB Jessee Painting,
J Miller Flowers, Piedmont Post, Village Market and Clif Bar.
