Planning Commission: Hillside Court House Would Triple in Size

Among the items before the Planning Commission tonight: a request to demolish a house at 419 Hillside Court and replace it with one more than three times as big.

The Piedmont Planning Commission will consider 10 requests for variances, design review and fence design review tonight. Among them: a request for variances and design review to demolish the existing 1,391 sq. ft. house at 419 Hillside Court and replace it with a three-story house totaling 4,468 sq. ft.

The new building would have four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, four half-baths, bathrooms, a gymnasium, a roof deck and three rear decks, among other amenities. Three variances would be required in order to construct within the 20-foot front yard setback, within the 4-foot east side yard setback, and within the 4-foot north side yard setback. Wendi Lelke-Wallway is the applicant.

The commission meets at 5 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave. The complete agenda is attached  above as a PDF and is also available on the City of Piedmont website.
