Power Outage Affecting More Than 1,700 Residents, Businesses in Oakland, Berkeley

Officials say the power is expected to be restored by about 2:30 p.m.

More than 1,700 residents and business lost power in South Berkeley and North Oakland this morning, a PG&E spokeswoman said. The outage was reported at 10:50 a.m. and is affecting 1,727 PG&E customers between Oregon Street in Berkeley and 61st Street in Oakland and between Adeline and Fulton streets, PG&E spokeswoman Katie Allen said.

Allen did not know the cause of the outage but said that power is expected to be restored by about 2:30 p.m.
