PUSD's New Issue of 'Magnolia' Features Teacher Training
Check out the colorful, multimedia magazine at the school district's website

The Piedmont Unified School District's second issue of The Magnolia, a quarterly online magazine, is now available at www.piedmont.k12.ca.us/the-magnolia.
The lead story in the brand-new issue is about an innovative, voluntary program where 11 staff members are seeking national teacher certification through self-study, peer feedback and videotaping of their teaching. The certification process can last up to two years.
Also in this issue: video of students giving "spoken word" poetry performances; articles on the Piedmont Portal website and on Readmont 2012; and district news.

PUSD Asst. Supt. Randy Booker, who is serving as editor for The Magnolia, has added new touches for this issue. Among them: easy, clickable page turning.
Supt. Constance Hubbard said at the March 14 Board of Education meeting that the district plans to publish The Magnolia quarterly, although there may only be three issues this school year. The first issue was published in November 2011.
