Putting the Pieces Together for Wildwood
Art teacher Suzie Skugstad and Wildwood Elementary School students have created a beautiful mural for their school, which is being renovated.
Since January of this year, art teacher Suzie Skugstad has been hard at work assembling a mural for with pieces made by students with funding from a PAINTS grant.
Every student in every grade at the elementary school this year will be able to find their clay art amidst the broken tiles making up the mural entitled, "The Winds of Wildwood."
The mural is currently layed out on the stage at "Wildwood West" in Emeryville, where teachers and students have been spending the school year while the building in Piedmont undergoes seismic retrofits.

Transporting the massive artwork back to Piedmont will be a feat–most likely the mural will be moved on plywood in sections to its new home.
