PHS Robotics Team Geared Up for Weekend Bout

With the Scotbots at the controls, the 220-pound flame-throwing, robot-flipping Raging Scotsman will be trying to literally crush the competition at this weekend's Combots Cup in San Mateo. The battles are taking place Oct. 29 and 30 as part of the first annual Bay Area Science Festival.

The team's killer robot had its debut in heavy weight competition at the Robogames last spring where it scored several victories by judge's decision before being eliminated in the final rounds.

Forrest Yeh, Morgan Tenney, Brian Yang, Marshall Wentworth, and Sierra Yeh introduced NBC Bay Area's Mike Inouye to their purple brute Thursday. No machines were injured during the taping.
