Round the Bases–Youth Baseball Game Results
A shutout and a pitcher's duel are among the highlights from the past week's youth baseball action.

MUSTANG (Age 9-10)
Piedmont Grizzlies 8, Piedmont Hornets 5: The Grizzlies scored three runs in the top of the sixth and held on to beat the Hornets in an exciting playoff game. Lucas Scherman and Abe Barnes pitched the first five innings, and Owen Levinson came on for the save. Max Friedman scored the go-ahead run, and Ricardo Barker and Jacob Prager had key hits.

Piedmont Grizzlies 13, Piedmont Phillies 0: Owen Levinson, Carvel Teftt, and Josh DeBare combined to pitch a two-hit shutout. Ben Nicholas and Gabe Liu made great plays in the field, and Abe Barnes and Lucas Scherman led the offense.
Piedmont A's 4, Piedmont Titans 2: A pitchers duel ended with a 4-2 win for the A's. Excellent pitching performances were turned in by Ethan Croley, Aaron Somers-Satue and Ben Barrett for the A's and James Sharman, Grant Keating, Noah Rosenbaum and Paul Woolcott for the Titans. Kevin Judd led the A's effort with two hits, two runs and four unassisted put-outs.
