Rowing Club to Hold Fundraiser Saturday
More than 50 students will be rowing for money.

More than 50 middle- and high-school rowers in Oakland’s Artemis Rowing Club will row for money on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Crufit fitness club in the Montclair district of Oakland.
The public is welcome to join in, donate, come and watch or all of the above!
The fundraiser, which begins at 1 p.m., will help purchase much-needed equipment for Artemis, a non-profit rowing club for youth and adults based at Oakland’s Jack London Aquatic Center. Boats, oars, trailers and other equipment are on the club’s wish list.

Artemis rowers hail from Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Piedmont, San Leandro and beyond. Founded in 2011, the club provides a competitive, welcoming and diverse rowing environment for athletes of all backgrounds. Artemis rowers have competed in national championships, the Head of the Charles regatta in Boston and races throughout California and the West, and have won a slew of medals.
