Special Dinners Celebrate Wine, Tomatoes
If you're looking for a special night out, local restaurants have some appealing special events coming up.
Local restaurants are celebrating the harvest season with some special dinners this month and next. Early reservations are advised.
At , the restaurant's 65th wine dinner is planned for Monday, Aug. 27, with hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner about 6:30. items on the special menu will be paired with wines from Rosenblum Cellars. Andrea Jones is scheduled as the guest speaker. The price is $75 per person. See more details here.
Oliveto on College Avenue will offer four nights celebrating the tomato, Tuesday, Sept. 18, through Friday Sept. 21, the 23rd year of the restaurant's "tomato dinners."

Owners Bob and Maggie Klein and Executive Chef Jonah Rhodehamel note that this year's tomato dinners have been rescheduled to a later date than previously announced, due to a late tomato harvest. They say the a la carte menu showcases the best heirloom and hybrid tomatoes of Northern California’s sustainable farms.
