Teen Murdered in Oakland Today

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed this morning in East Oakland, police said.

The first call of the shooting at 89th Avenue and International Boulevard came in at 10:30 a.m., police said.

Officers responded to the area and found the man, an Oakland resident, with gunshot wounds, according to the police department. When emergency medical personnel got to the scene they pronounced the victim dead.

Police detectives were called to start an investigation into the killing.
