OAKLAND, CA — A tunnel at state Highway 123 and West MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland is closing for several months as crews prepare to repair a decompression in the road.
Among other work, crews will repair the road, construct a new drainage system and install horizontal drains and concrete barriers.
Crews have posted detour signs and motorists should drive cautiously through the area, especially since traffic fines are twice the usual amount in construction zones.
