Visions for Vacancies: Former Ford's Fine Furniture

Ford’s Fine Furniture just closed its doors last week after 18 years in business. We’d like to hear what you would like to see take this space.

Ford’s was located at 3258 Grand Ave, has been at this location for 18 years and had a very loyal following.  It started out as a consignment store not only selling furniture but also clothes.  It later focused only on consigning furniture and then eventually only on selling new furniture.  They started out in one space but when the butcher next door closed down years ago they expanded into that space.  The owner is ready to retire and enjoy the good life.

There’s a total of 6000 sq. ft. on both floors.  I spoke with the owner and he is willing to split it into two spaces if required.  The owner is open to any type of business and is very interested in knowing what the neighborhood wants.  The suggestions you provide will help the owner attract that business to this location.
