A woman was charged with a felony Monday for allegedly leaving the scene of a hit-and-run collision in Oakland on Friday morning that killed an 84-year-old pedestrian, prosecutors said today. Anne Park, 30, was charged with leaving the scene of a collision causing great bodily injury or death.
Park is accused of hitting Oakland resident Anh Thanh Ma Hoang with her car near the corner of 18th Avenue and East 15th Street just after 8 a.m. Friday and fleeing the scene. Police found Hoang severely injured there. She was taken to a hospital but later died, police said. Officers canvassed the area and eventually found the vehicle suspected to have been involved in the collision.
