
EL SOBRANTE, CA — The Contra Costa County coroner's office has identified a man who died in a traffic collision in El Sobrante on Tuesday evening.
Cheyenne Boyer, 41, of El Sobrante, died after the crash reported at 6:38 p.m. at 5511 San Pablo Dam Road.
Several friends and family members shared condolences on Boyer's Facebook page Tuesday evening and this morning. They said he was a loving father who would always lend a helping hand.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to a head-on collision involving three cars and found Boyer unresponsive and trapped inside a Honda SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial CHP investigation determined that Boyer was driving his Honda Element east on San Pablo Dam Road toward Terri Ann Lane when he crossed double yellow lines and hit two cars traveling west.

CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said two other people were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators do not yet know if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
San Pablo Dam Road was closed for about an hour while officers collected evidence, according to the CHP.
