• Driver Dies After Crash at Richmond Pkwy, I-80 in Pinole (rwbpress.com) — A driver died after a fiery single-vehicle crash early Friday on the Richmond Parkway on-ramp to eastbound I-80 in Pinole, briefly stopping traffic while crews responded. CHP and Contra Costa Fire say the car hit the center divider, then a light pole, and burned; investigators are still determining what caused the collision and have not yet released the victim's identity.
