• With gloved hands, litter-pickers and trash bags, Pinole volunteers clean up the coastline (richmondconfidential.org) — Pinole residents turned out at Bayfront Park for California Coastal Cleanup Day, hauling away trash and teaching local kids to care for their shoreline. About 80 volunteers, including Pinole Valley High School students and families, focused on conservation, community pride, and keeping the waterfront cleaner each year through ongoing education and hands-on work.
