Hey Teens! Erase your overdue library fines by reading!
Start a New Chapter at Your Library in our fine forgiveness program during National Teen Read Week, Oct. 16-20 2012.

In celebration of Teen Read Week and our blatant attempt to get teens to read more, Contra Costa County Library invites teens to “Start a New Chapter at the Library.” If you are in grades 6 – 12 or ages 13 – 18 and your library account has not been sent to our collection agency, UMS, you are eligible. Teens, read a book or magazine for 1 hour during designated times in any Contra Costa County Library to earn a certificate to waive eligible fines.
Start a New Chapter at the Hercules Library on Tuesday October 16th or Saturday October 20th between3:00 and 5:00. Or join our read-in at the Pinole Library on Monday October 15th—between 3:00 and 5:00.
Fill in your Start a New Chapter at Your Library certificate, and be sure to redeem it in October and your fines overdue fines will disappear! Lost items are not eligible, so bring them in before you read!
