New Blogger Connie Acton Offers "Ramblings"

Being old in Pinole

Today, I have more going on than usual. After lunch at the senior center, I have to go in for a blood pressure test and have blood drawn. I don't mind any of this but it is time consuming.

The current election isn't making me happy. I like Newt Gingrich and it seems like he doesn't have a chance. I will vote for Romney, but reluctantly.

I like living in Pinole, which is in the Bay Area. The senior center has many programs for seniors, including a program that is called Homebound, which has a van to pick up members who can no longer drive. They are waited on at lunch but others who are also old but who get around better. I really support this program which offer socialization for those who have no one with them and keeps then alert and a chance for social interaction with others.
